A deep interest in issues involving children, education, healthcare, and forced displacement has led to two major projects exploring the education and psychosocial health of refugee children and families; TERROR AND HOPE, THE SCIENCE OF RESILIENCE and LESSONS OF BASKETBALL AND WAR. Selected honors for these and other films include: Gold World Medal – New York Festivals International Television and Film Awards; several Cine Golden Eagle awards; Gold Medal – Houston International Film Festival; Crystal Award of Excellence - Communicator Awards; Gold Camera - International Film & Video Festival; American Film Institute Independent Filmmakers grant; Official Selection at dozens of US and international film festivals including several best documentary and humanitarian awards.

Ron Bourke Films has partnered with From The Heart Productions, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, and the Allegiance Group/WeDid.it to provide Tax Deductible status for all donations to support the public television broadcast of TERROR AND HOPE and LESSONS OF BASKETBALL AND WAR. You can make a tax deductible donation on this page to support both films equally, or go to the individual campaign pages to support a specific film. Donations of $1000 and above will be shown in descending order as program underwriters at the beginning and end of every broadcast. All other donations will be recognized on the film's website. Is my donation tax deductible?

Depends on a few factors like if you received a reward in exchange for the donation and the value of your donation above that rewards cost, etc. You may contact the nonprofit you donated to directly to receive information on whether or not your donation is tax deductible. Nonetheless, the emailed receipts you will receive for your donation is the documentation you need to make it tax deductible.

How do I know that my donation was made successfully?

You will receive an emailed receipt immediately after your donation is submitted and your credit card is processed. Your donation will also show up on your bank or card statement within 1-3 business days.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes, a receipt is sent to your email inbox once your donation is processed. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each period when your donation is processed.
